We're excited to announce our official launch following a period in stealth mode, as well as the appointment of Andrew Mullinger, co-founder of Funding Circle, as our CEO. Together with our co-founders Stefan Cooksammy and Neil Cockerill, and the whole Rainbow team, we're on a mission to empower you to become your own renewable energy provider.
Today we’re helping to lay the foundations for a sustainable energy future by installing solar panels, air source heat pumps, and car charging units, ensuring that you have the infrastructure required to generate clean, renewable energy. Once you're set up with our renewable energy solutions, we aim to become your preferred energy partner. Our commitment to exceptional customer service, combined with cutting-edge technology, will enable you to decarbonise your energy needs efficiently and cost-effectively. Our long-term vision includes the development of a decentralised grid, allowing for the transfer and management of energy between customers.
At Rainbow, we understand the importance of controlling costs and ensuring that energy solutions are financially viable. The falling prices of solar panels, down by over 60 percent since 2010,* coupled with recent increases in gas bills, make solar installations a smart investment, typically paying for themselves within seven years.** One of our customers, JKS Boyles, a drilling equipment manufacturer based in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, estimates a payback period of just four years and expects to save £1.5 million in energy bills over the next 25 years. Small businesses are currently eligible for capital allowances claims and local grants, and more than 900 businesses have already claimed £7 million.
